Robotic Sonar Search at Reservoir

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News 4pm Dec 9, 2011) -- The search for a missing angler on Jamestown Reservoir continued Friday. Robotic sonar equipment with a camera was brought to the reservoir by Valley Water Rescue of Fargo, to continue the search Peter Fendt explains the operation, and the equipment being used under water at the reservoir consisted of a "robot," equipped with sonar, and a camera, operated remotely under the ice cover. Fendt says the unit was lowered through an ice hole, and scanned the bottom of the reservoir. The unit was also rotated under water.
