Happy 100th Birthday you "old fart".Still looking like a mean "man stopper"( .45 caliber M1911-2011).
-
My old man carried one in Vietnam. I bought my first one, a Colt variant in 1998 for 600 bucks. And I just got a Remington-Rand Typewriter Company M1911A1 for 850.00. I'm hoping to at least get an Ithaca variant next. I prefer it to the Beretta M-9 I used as a medic.

dude you should buy another 1911 and leave this one on the show off shelf. but that is what i would do anyway. wouldnt like to wreck such a familily piece.

@Bpro2204 In a couple more months I will have a blued Colt XSE to shoot and this will remain a safe queen.

Awesome video man. A word to the wise sir, I wouldn't shoot it all that much especially if you want to keep it all original. I put a mag through mine made in 43', cleaned the hell out of it. Parts could brake on it due to it's age so clean it up all nice and LEAVE it in your safe

@ruger3939 Thank you.
I no longer shoot this pistol at all. Good point.
