As UMG blocked my last video I thought I would try something different. Well they blocked it, unblocked and then blocked it again. This shows another side of Michael. He could have been the next Fred Astaire. After making the film The Wiz he came close to accepting a role in the stage version of the musical A Chorus Line. His career could have taken a whole different turn. Michael and Fred met several times and liked and admired each other. Both were very hard working, very professional and brilliant at what they did. Professionally they could be very demanding of themselves and others but away from that both were very sweet and kind and very shy. The music, which I like very much, is by Richard Rogers and is the main theme from the musical Carousel and is beautifully played by Das Radio Symphonie. Bless you Michael and thank you for watching.

  • incredible. praise Jah

  • @lexiconlover Thank you so much.

  • I don't think that the theme from Carousel was the original music they were dancing to in this clip... but it's good to see the clip anyway... thanks for posting

  • @ryoko65 No I've linked parts of various different clips and I used the theme from Carousel because I love the music. Thank you very much for commenting.

  • Michael worked with the best to be the best. Look at him dancing with the Nicholas brothers. Not any young men of his age back then, allowed themselves the time to dance with these professionals. Michael was the best because he studied the best and they studied him.

  • @61grammy Beautifully put, that's very true.

  • I have a smile that can't stop when I watch this! This is so very Beautiful and Hauntingly Magical! He made it look so easy, like Fred did...dancing on air! Michael exploded with talent in all avenues! I'm so happy to be able to see this! Thank you!

  • @tramelius17 I think both men were incredibly talented but different. Fred himself liked and admired Michael very much and said he could be his successor. Michael here was 18 years old and had never had a dancing lesson in his life. I think he was amazing.

  • Thank you for making this part of MJ history available to the public and in such a neat, 'cleaned up' form. I hope you can keep it up there. Despite his talent, you can see he is still a raw dancer, learning to be comfortable with himself in his 'grown up' body, and a bit shy about his masculinity. Great job!

  • @kindofblue21 I guess I should have also said that it was a good choice and works well with the dancing. (I like the music too! thanks)

  • Just watching him brings tears to my eyes. To watch him dance and move with so much passion and grace, makes me miss him even more. He should be with us to show the world what else we would have been in store for. I miss you much Michael, my angel.

  • @barbiewmn Two sweet, shy but immensely talented men and they liked and admired each other very much.
