Brighton-Toubas delegation April 2007

This is a very brief (and far from exhaustive) summary of the kinds of things the April 2007 Brighton-Toubas delegation got up to whilst we were in Palestine. There were about seventeen of us (including eight Sussex students), and we went with the aim of establishing links with people and groups in Toubas and the Jordan Valley, in the occupied West Bank. Sussex is also in the process of twinning with Al-Quds Open University in Toubas as part of a project called 'Universities of Resistance'.

The quality's pretty bad so if you have bad eyes, you probably won't be able to read the text. Sorry!

also, about the footage of the demo:

some students have expressed dismay about us being there, so I should clarify that protesting against the apatheid wall wasn't a part of our official delegation, but it was something we all wanted to do once we were there. We were angry and upset by the kinds of things we were seeing, and we wanted to protest peacefully about it. The soldiers instigated the violence.
