To Norman jones :
America's health care is for the most part socialist already (pre-Obama care)...
The elderly get Medicaid and the poor get Medicare. The only people who don't get free medical care are working people who work fir companies that make it almost impossible to afford healthcare. So your point is moot.

We have the best healthcare in the world!!!! Well we did.....Now the gov runs it!
When has anything the gov ran worked right or cost less then thay say? Never it always cost more then thay say!!!! Well godbuy america hellow comunisum!!!

I'd rather pay higher taxes than live in a country where you can't get a medical treatment that might save your life without costing you an arm and a leg.

Dude, have you even READ my posts? I stated clearly, I've been living in Europe, so far for about 6 months, and that I already experienced a health situation, so I know how the system works, and it worked great for me. And it seems you haven't experienced by yourself at all how the system works in the U.S... God, you know what? It's pretty obvious that your simple mind can't accept that a full right-wing system is far from perfect, so this will be my last response to you.
-
You can't have both, the ideals from the Right directly oppose those from the Left. And again, if you think so much of governmetn healthcare, care to come down to Europe and see how it really works?

Who the FUCK said I was either of those 2? Assuming I'm one of them just shows how much more ignorant YOU are. I'm inclined to a more centralized system, where the best things from leftist and right-wing systems could interact. Statistics/poll/public opinion show that out of all the developed countries in the world, the U.S has the most expensive and worst healthcare system in the world, and that the average life-span of citizens is the lowest one. I think that shows how broken the system is.
-
Well, I don't know what care you received but it certainly wasn't state healthcare.
Also I'm sick and tired of you Leftists and socialists claiming everyone who doesn't agree with you is either blind, brainwashed or ignorant.

Have you even experienced how it works in the U.S? I lived 3 years in the States, and right now I'm living in Germany as an exchange student. Here in Germany they have public healthcare, and it worked splendidly for me. Some months ago, I got a sprained ankle from playing basketball. A couple of days later, I go to the doctor, they take some X-ray pictures to see how bad it was, they give me a splint to put on while I recover, and it didn't cost one cent from their part. Maybe you're just blind.
Public healthcare has nothing to do with socialism. Its called social market economy.
The american system seems to lack solidarity when it comes to fellow citizens in need of healthcare.
My brother had a shoulder operation due to a dislocation before and he stayed 3 days in the hospital after it. When the bill came it said €21.
For me the system is logic, you pay when youre healthy, you receive when youre sick. It has nothing to do with free healthcare!
