um um um my dear brother muwa7idnafs i dont know about you ?..if ashari's scholars respected imam ibn taymiyyah or gave him credit in paticalar area's of his knowledge doesn't mean he did'nt make mistakes in his aqeedah serious mistakes which goes against the ijma (consensus) of all the scholars does that answer your question ahkie :)

Ali Ibnul Madanee (d.228) (teacher of Imaam Bukhari) said concerning the hadeeth "There shall not cease to be a group from amongst my ummah apparent upon the truth those who oppose them will not able to harm them" "they are Ahlul Hadeeth" (Saheeh in Tirmidhee 4/485 adh Dhahabi in ad Deenaar p.63

Imaam Adhahabi said in as-Siyar (16/457) about ad-Daaraqutnee "this man would never Enter in to 'ILM ul Kilaam nor Argumentation he would never delve deeply into that Rather, he was SALAFI"

Salafi is an Ascription to the SALAF (1st 3 generations of islaam) because the prophet (peace be upon him) said "the best is my generation then those after them then after them"
