@ChrisK529 The "new owners" are the people who own the Mandalay Bay. They did the same think with TI when they owned it.

I stayed at the Luxor once, and it wasn't too bad, then I stayed at Encore. That put everything in perspective.

Nice! I used to stay at the Luxor but now I stay next door at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. Sadly, the poor old Luxor is in need of renovation to the rooms, and the new owners have moved it away from its Egyptian theme to just another bland hotel/casino. I do visit it when I'm in Las Vegas but the old girl just ain't what she used to be......and that's sad.
