For the first time, most of the films in this year's Traveling Human Rights Watch International Film Festival, which screens in 40 American cities through early next year, were made by women. They include "Project Kashmir," a documentary by two American filmmakers of South Asian heritage: one Hindu, the other Muslim. As visitors to the volatile Kashmir region, a Himalayan area divided between Pakistan and India but claimed by both, they found their own friendship tested by the conflict.
