"The Hallelujah Chorus: A Theological Reading of Scripture"
A special conference on the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible was held in the Morris Cultural Arts Center on the campus of Houston Baptist University, October 28-29, 2011. The 17th century scholars who translated the Bible into English under the auspices of King James of England could not have begun to imagine the influence and impact of their work over the course of four centuries. The Dunham Bible Museum hosted "KJV@400: A Story of Biblical Proportions" as a forum for 21st century scholars to commemorate and consider this significant Bible translation made 400 years ago. The KJV@400 Conference consided the historic background of the King James Bible, and its cultural influence on England, America, and around the globe.
