Well, at least the washing machine's drain hose didn't start draining onto the floor because the clamp came loose. And at least you realized yours had broken and could take appropriate measures instead of letting the water spread across the floor to your carpet where it saturated the pad. Mold and mildew, wheee! But, at least I learned how to remove and replace carpet padding and how to clean carpets, so there is an up side to everything!
