If you still don't get it, in battle mode you get a series of power ups, they can be broken string(breaks oponents string, so they have to press it fast to recover), whammy(they have to whammy fast), double notes(doubles single notes, and double notes become triple), lefty flip(visual lefty flip, you confuse yourself easily), and difficulty up(raises difficulty a bit)
