I'm a susan collins supporter but this video is retarded. Seriously, wtf?

Senate IS a member of Congress. 2 branches and all that school house rock stuff....

Allen has a 98% voting record. He has cast over 7,000 in his career. Senator Collins should be above this kind of pathetic attack.

You're wrong. This video alone references over 4 votes that were missed for family reasons. Combine that with Collins hitting Allen last spring for missing some inconsequential votes to attend the funeral of his cousins wife. This is type of behavior is what I'd expect from Karl Rove not Our Senator. Her whole argument is crap anyway. Missing 2% of over 7,000 votes over a period of 11 years? Sounds pretty human to me.

Allen's a good guy, but a wimp. "We can do better? True to ME? If this were actually true, he'ld have done his job & called for investigations on the articles of impeachment drafted by 65 ME attorneys, & 20,000 registered Maine voters calling for hearings! Won't vote for him, or Collins, we've too many ballsless dems in congress...

No one, including Senator Collins, has faulted Tom for missing votes for legitimate family reasons. It's when he misses three days of votes to attend a fundraiser in California or skips work to go to the All Star Game that I feel he's broken the promise he made to represent me and the rest of his constitutents in Congress.

Whoops, not Congress, the Senate. But my comment still applies!

I couldn't agree more. And many of them seem like meaningless "feel good" votes -- for commemorations and memorials that probably passed easily and by large margins. In other words, bullshit that Congress wastes its time on at the taxpayers' expense because members think they're duping us into believing they're all wonderful and caring people. It's not how many votes Congress completes -- it's WHAT they for that counts.
Congressman Allen and Senator Collins have served the same 11 years in Washington. During that time, he has cast about 7,020 votes, compared to her 3,700.

Maine wants someone who does their job... obviously Tom Allen is not qualified. Collins has my vote.
