The brilliant Argentine pianist plays one of the hardest pieces of the repertoire in this rare video...The second movement portrays a gibbet.

  • this piece will never be perfomed better than this...Martha OWNS this masterpiece

  • I hate this because it is so difficult and it doesn't seem like it is!!!

I also love it for it's complex melodies.

Argerich makes this seem so easy and amazing.

  • One of my favorite pieces of piano music. I think Argerich does it better than anyone. Pogorelich's is also really dark (and exceptionally slow and deliberate).

  • My favourite interpretation. I just listened to Richter's, and while it's very Richter, I prefer Argerich's feminine/fiery flair she gives it. IMO.

  • just the right amount of additional imagery in these short films to enhance the music without getting in the way of our appreciation of Martha's tremendous interpretation. I love how these look as well as sound. Thanks for posting.

  • thank you for this - wonderful moody video
