wholeheartedly agree w/u on the views & scenery of that old trail but... your constructive critisims falls short of the "big picture view" which is to bring awareness to the grand possibilities & freedom these vehicles can offer. This trail is more scenic & offer easier access to I84, but the closing of an interstate guaranteed wide media coverage whereas if they'd gone by trail it'd b no more than an end of the news annecdote, small sacrifice to carry a bit of weight downstairs, ;)

The historic route via Crown Point was clearly the better alternative to the interstate. If I had seen this movie before, I woud have gone this route. Anyway riding on the closed interstate was also a nice experience. BTW: Riding this little tunnel with quite steep downhil with car traffic woud have been no problem.
