  • Also, I didn't post this song in regards to the Bentley song at all. I just wanted to put a studio version up because there weren't many quality version on youtube. It's my favorite Isbell tracks and one of my favorite country songs.

  • The main similarities come during the choruses.

  • @atkslk @PfcWatkins09 I don't listen to Dierks Bentley mainly because I don't listen to pop-country. There's not enough real emotion behind it for me. But I did just listen to Bentley's song, and honestly I don't see how anyone can't hear the similarities between the two. The melodies and vocals are very similar, obviously the lyrics are different but the songs are quite similar. And it's also hard to argue when Bentley dropped "Home" last year and this song came out in 2007.

  • The chorus is practically the exact same. Dierks 'Home' is a blatant rip off...

  • Wonderful song. Obviously somebody else thought so too...

  • RAW TALENT FUCK WHOEVER DOESN'T LIKE IT.

  • I think people get way too carried away with rip-off claims. You want to hear a rip-off, go listen to that Kid Rock song with the Metallica riff or Ice Ice Baby or Jessica Simpsons "Jack and Diane" steal. Those are blatant rip-offs. The only thing similar between this song and Bentley's is the melody. The music is clearly discernable between the too. It's just the way they are sung that has similarities. Who's to say Bentley had even heard this song before. It's not like its widely known.

  • idk how ppl think dierks stole this song im mean maybe 10 seconds of the song sounds like it and im sure dierks didnt even hear this song and this guys voice sucks!!! its the same monotone voice through the whole song...

  • Dierks Bentley didn't even write "Home," but he's much better than jealous crybaby Jason Isbell will ever be. Get over it.

  • Oh my God! The melodies of the choruses sound similar! Plagiarism! Everybody run for the hills!!!!!!!!!

  • I promise that any song that is ever written, played, sang, or even existed. There will always be a similarity between them. Hearing a song that have somewhat of the same vocal transmission doesn't prove Bentley stole the song. Assuming he did, you might hear it on television, internet, or most certainly the radio. I listen to the Bentley version everytime on the radio and I didn't hear a complaint about it.

  • @KaitlynIsEffingEpic No, he ripped it off. Blatantly.

  • the only thing that sounds the same is one part of the chorus. i love Home by Dierks Bentley. it has so much meaning and the music video will make a grown man cry

  • Sometimes that will happen in music. I hear similar melodies once in a while, especially between two different genres of music that make me think for a second. It's rather a coincidence or Dierks was inspired by this song. I'm sure he's original enough to not blatantly rip something off though. If he thought it was too bad he'd scrap the idea. No one of his popularity and ability would do that, it'd be stupid.

  • People are ignorant.. No more needs to be said.
