I want to say that this is the 1965 season. Unfortunately, I don't remember what year this one hour special is from. Some of the shows paradied are The Munsters, The Addams Family, My Mother The Car, and Hullaballo. The sound isn't the greatest, but it was the best copy that I could find.

  • hahahaha...thanks for the upload. There was that glitch in the audio for several seconds. Hmmm...i would have to say 1965 as well because that is the year his TV series ended. He did come back with annual TV specials, though, but this is like the TV show and so 1965 seems to be right.

  • Soory about the glitch. It was in the source material, so I couldn't get rid of it unless I cut the whole part out, which would have looked like a video glitch...

  • I did mention the glitch in the synopsis for the clip. Eventually I'll get a better copy. Preferably in color.

  • The Munsters an the Addams Family, came out in 1963.

  • jack benny was the greatest.

  • Happy new year.

  • Jack's NBC specials WERE videotaped in color (and the orginal videotape of this one exists)- this is merely a black and white "kinescope" film copy. ORIGINAL AIRDATE: NOVEMBER 3, 1965.

  • my original guess at 1965 was correct all the time, then...I should always stick with my gut instincts. anyway, at the end of the sketch they reference the teen pop show HULLABALOO which ran from January 1965 to August 1966.

  • My Mother the Car was 1965-66, so it couldn't be '64. Looks like '65 is correct.

  • [LOL! This is awesome! Also, there's Bewitched and Peyton Place, plus whatever number of spy/cop shows were parodied at once.... ]

Yeah lots of them. The little spot with Dr. Kimble travelling from city to city is touching on David Janssen in "The Fugitive" (1963-1967).

  • He did numerous specials after his series ended. I believe this one actually aired in color, and that we're looking at a kinescope (much like some of the pre-68 Carson shows). I say that because by 1965 -- and even for several years before that -- NBC was, with a couple of exceptions, offering a full-color TV schedule.

  • So what is this about?

    XD
