University of Minnesota scientists say they have for the first time created a beating heart in a laboratory. The discovery offers hope that the technique could be used to create a fully functioning heart. So far researchers have only conducted the experiment using rat and pig hearts, but they hope one day their technique will work on human hearts too.

  • shit man that looks wrong

  • unstoppable science experimentation and research. Unbelievable but maybe someday it will work for the benefits of others.

  • I bet you insurance companies will try to fight this

  • Could near term results for humans be achieved by using this technique on pig valves? It is a commonly replaced part, but still requires a lifetime of anti-rejection medications.

  • @IbonedDerekDsister lol the hearts aren't going to make people live forever

  • @MrSzviktor cool

  • @MrSzviktor R u agreeing with me or not?

  • @IbonedDerekDsister There are places where no one gives a damn about people: their food, water, air, shelter, so why try to rescue ones ?

Death is essential, it cleans nature's errors, germs that have grown stronger, lives space for new.
