Ralph McTell gives an interview to Mary Kirkham overlooking a beach in Cornwall in September 2008. About to undertake a nationwide tour he talks about the release of his book "As Far AS I Can Tell" along with the release of the triple CD audio book of the same name. There is also video footage from a book signing evening at St Austell Library as well as a sneak preview of an up-coming video release.

  • I live near Helston now on a smallholding I bought in 1985 but when I met you with my then, all those years ago, with musician mates you jamed with when we were briefly in Cornwall from London for a few months in the early 70s I never thought for one moment I wouldever live in Cornwall myself - but it was happy days of my youth. I thought stuff was hard then but it was no where near how hard it is now .

    You are part of my life and history I guess. This was about 1971 when I was living in Mousehole . Then ived in London for a few years from them on until about 1985 . Then whent back to Cornwall, so I now live in Wendron in Cornwall since 1985- love you

  • You were my inspiration to play guitar Ralph, and now 33 years on I am still picking away. I used to play at The Fleece in Addingam,late 70s and the one week I missed you turned up, sods law!
