Namura Shipbuilding will be restoring the Hakodate dock in Hokkaido, which has been left to idle for over three decades. With an investment of US$55.3 million, the dock is set to re-open in October. Vietnam is preparing a new master plan for shipbuilding according to a source close to its maritime regulatory body, Vinamarine. The China State Shipbuilding Corporation will issue a further US$439 million of short-term bills to fund its expansion programme.
