I am repeating my own message in english, as I guess most of you dont speak Norwegain :D
Here you are showing the true story and how things develops. The young people are living in a tempting and dangerous world. It starts out fun and ends in hell, I get chills. The music helps out in giving the correct message here. It is an interesting little film, and you make a point of the fact that there is HOPE for everybody.

this song shouldnt be associated with these pictures, it should be associated with that of a holocaust (nuclear) and things along those lines, thats kinda sad, none of this is, its just stupid...

I'm not a stoner but I feel compelled to point out the medical literature that has shown the active chemical in marijuana, THC, has no physical addictive qualities. Every anecdote and source of information used to argue otherwise is a sample of confirmation bias. The inability to stop the use of marijuana has nothing to do with a physical dependency, but rather a psychological one. It is the abuse of marijuana that should be condemned, not the plant itself.

I must say that I do not agree with the association between this song and drug use. Yes it was used for Requiem for a Dream, a movie very heavy in drug use, but screenwriter and director of the film Darren Aronofsky said in an interview that Requiem was not meant to be a drug movie. I also seriously doubt that Clint Mansell had drugs in mind when he was composing Lux Aeterna. The film and this song are generally associated with sadness or death, but you are entitled to your opinion, however mi

@tfrankl12 Thanks for the information and you may very well be right about the intentions of the film maker and composer. We are all entitled to our own opinions and for me art is intended to make one think - and as a result of that conclude on what it means to each of us. It will surely differ. I find that this music fits well with a drug theme, you do not. Both (and other) opinions are equally valid, imho :)

@viewerbroadcaster Well, sorry for ruining it for you. I guess we all have different ways of listening to music and associate things with it - for me this music has always been very ominous, dark and threatening and fits very well with a serious and depressing topic like this. The fact that you disagree only proves that we have differing opinions and I hope you can get back to just liking the music again - because it is really great music :)
