On May 1, 1915, the RMS Lusitania departed Pier 54 in New York. On May 7th, 1915, two explosions erupted, signaling the end of the Cunard Liner Lusitania. She would sink within eighteen minutes and take 1198 people with her.

I dont think its vaterland..... This was taken around 1910's i guess, when her funnels were not yet painted black. and the spacing of the funnels is too small, the ship looks like its around 700 or 600 feet

Actually, the germans only fired a torpedo to just scare the people but they really didn't intend to sink her.
