Serge et Jane ont rompu, car il la battait quand il était ivre. (dixit Lise Levitsky sa 1ère femme, dans un documentaire assez récent).

Malgré çà, par la suite Gainsbourg avait sûrement ses raisons de rester proche de Jane - et réciproquement. Aucune rancoeur, ni d'un côté ni de l'autre.

Ils s'aimaient dans tous les sens du terme, et c'est juste beau.

I love them both and the way they were together, it was somehow different, special, and bizarre too. But I always feel something frightning on their relationship and their reactions. He looks so serious and threatning when she talks, and she looks terrified. It looks like he controls her, like there's something he doesn't want media to know, but oh well they're both adorable together, even if he betrayled her loads of times.
