Runway Jazz award winners Bayern Tour

"Harm zone" is a quartet that has emerged during studies at the Academy of Music in Nuremberg by intensive cooperation within the jazz department. The different musical backgrounds of the four musicians meet in a world full of vitality, excitement and interaction. Trying to make it sound complex rhythmic and harmonic structures of simple and compact forms, since a year now, the band's sound.

Her energetic presence, the high-intensity interaction as well as the implementation of sound color compositions and arrangements of selected original inspired both the audience and the jury of the 2010 International Young Project Runway Jazz in Straubing. This rewarded the competition performance of the Quartet with the prestigious Bavaria tour price and is happy to send the band as an ambassador of jazz through their own country.

"Harmzone" ist ein Quartett, das während des Studiums an der Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg durch intensive Zusammenarbeit innerhalb der Jazzabteilung entstanden ist. Die unterschiedlichen musikalischen Hintergründe der vier Musiker begegnen sich in einer Welt voller Lebendigkeit, Spannung und Interaktion. Der Versuch, komplexe rhythmische und harmonische Strukturen einfach und kompakt klingen zu lassen, formt seit nunmehr einem Jahr den Bandsound.

Ihr energetischer Auftritt, das hochintensive Zusammenspiel wie auch die klangfarbige Umsetzung von Eigenkompositionen und Bearbeitungen ausgewählter Originals begeisterte sowohl Publikum als auch die Jury des Internationalen Nachwuchsprojektes 2010 Startbahn Jazz in Straubing. Diese belohnte den Wettbewerbsauftritt des Quartetts mit dem begehrten Bayerntour-Preis und freut sich, die Band als Botschafter des Jazz durchs eigene Land zu schicken.
