Both guitars are awesome for different genres of music, yet, your setup sucks. I can't even understand the difference between guitars. I am not sure if it is because bad recording or is it your setup? Well this kinda music is good with single coil in middle with a low gain distortion tone, or overdrive.

They are both excellent for their own respective sounds which best fit the SONG! To think a V is better (or worse) that a Strat is totally moronic. For this bluesy thing your doing, the Strat single coils cut through cleaner but, let's say you wanted a darker/dirtier sound, better grab a 496/500 Gibson for the job. Both great. Anyone who says otherwise has never cut an album in a legitimate studio where nuances matter. Not some basement with GarageBand or Fruityloops on their moms old computer!

@RobotFollower And btw, he's not bad. It's just the recording quality that is bad

@RobotFollower I hate when people think that people who aren't the best in the world are required to have shitty guitars. Having great guitars while learning can actually motivate you to become better. When he becomes the most kickass player in the world, he will still have these guitars, remember.
strat e cooler than Flying V when it comes to clean,
Put some distortion on both, and see the flying V kick some fender ass :D
