The "slit her throat" comment, I believe, was a figure of speech, like throwing someone under the bus. She was using a metaphor.

Debra speaks of knowing what her sister's body looked like after the murders -- she should know that her sister's throat was NOT cut. The murder of Sharon was horrific and Debra doesn't gain any points by inaccurately portraying it.

That's great because I am neither one or those things you've referenced. Justice has in fact been served for Susan Atkins. Her death penalty conviction was commuted to a life sentence and she died in prison AS SHE SHOULD HAVE. I just don't understand how my not being able to support Debra Tate's narcissim has translated into me being an Atkins support, a liberal wet, or a deluded Manson follower.

Debra Tate is an attention-seeking middle child. She has spread so many inaccuracies regarding this case. No, Sharon's throat was not slit. She also said in an interview that Sharon was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in "Valley Of The Dolls" and this is completely untrue. It's so tragic the way her sister died, but she needs to study the facts if she's going to continue to shoot her mouth off in public.

@Amity197111 I don't believe I've turned on Sharon's family just because I don't like Debra. Their mother was a phenomonal woman and Patty seemed to be a very gracious lady. However, I do want to set you straight on one thing: I have been engulfed in this case for the better part of 35 years and IT IS A FACT that Sharon's throat was not slit. If you'll read up on it (as I have) you'll discover I'm right!
