Steve Jobs narrates the first Think different commercial "Here's to the Crazy Ones". It never aired. Richard Dreyfuss did the voiceover for the original spot that aired. However Steve's is much better 1997.

Albert Einstein, Bob Dylan, Martin Luther King, Jr., Richard Branson, John Lennon (with Yoko Ono), Buckminster Fuller, Thomas Edison, Muhammad Ali, Ted Turner, Maria Callas, Mahatma Gandhi, Amelia Earhart, Alfred Hitchcock, Martha Graham, Jim Henson (with Kermit the Frog), Frank Lloyd Wright and Pablo Picasso.

The young girl at the end is Shaan Sahota

Steve Jobs' tribute. Richard Dreyfuss makes reference to this video. Amazingly cool.

The link above was something I posted 2 years before Steve would pass on. I had the video for more than 10 years and I wanted to share it to evoke a good rhythm, a vibe of what it truly meant to be apart of Apple. What it meant to be Apple through Steve's eyes. The spirit above ALL ELSE rises to the top. It isn't the cash and it isn't the product. It is the passion that rules the day. I truly feel sorry for those who haven't experienced an Apple product yet. They are really missing out on something that is beyond words or magic. It is simply wonderful, because the people who put this together, bled six colors. If there is ever a true moment of transference of a soul, you can find it within this product that Steve graced with his touch. Magnificent. Brilliant. Happiness.

  • Funny how much Apple has changed. The "crazies don't like rules?" Apple has more "rules" than you can shake a stick at. Apple use to be the little guy, now it's Android and others who are trying to break APPLE'S rules.

  • Apple isn't defined by rules or the ones they set as a standard for others to chase. They often surprise us when they leave the standard they created behind. That is the difference.

  • I am in the process of creating a free iBook that encapsulates all of the Apple commercials from the last 15 years. I hope that people will contribute back with historical facts, personal experiences, grammar checks, writings, or better quality videos. If that happens we can have a beautiful book historically that is constantly updated and improved.

If you want to follow me on Twitter for most things Apple, than I welcome you. My handle is @applegui.

    Thanks and enjoy.

  • yuck I like apple products, but I dont like that whole apple smugness. x(

  • I have the whole thing memorized. THUBS UP IF YOU aw fuck it.

  • Include Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Google to get the answer why! Man who changed the world map, For ever!

  • I just want to change the color of the icons in the sidebar in my Finder, but Lion won't let me. Evidently it's against the rules. What has freaking happened to Apple!?

  • The only thing you can’t do is ignore them <3

  • The reality distortion field is strong with this one. I admit, Apple makes great products. Their stuff is "cool". They are not, however, our benevolent friend doing things solely for our best interest. They are not interested in "thinking different" because of its philosophical purity. They are a for-profit public company, and, as such, their primary motivation is profit. This commercial is a polished, attractive, quasi-intellectual appeal to sell their products - nothing more and nothing less.

  • Still organizing it. I might start out in stages that keeps evolving.

  • iBooks is now a digital book form. Apple has an iBooks store and they have a authoring book app called iBooks. If permitted by Apple, I want to create a free book that can be contributed and expand with user feedback.

  • Steve Jobs honored by Richard Dreyfuss who would go on to voice this spot. (Also he makes reference to this video). See description for link.
