I drive a nice car (not a lambo) and I park at an end space at the back of the lot wherever I go.  If there's not a free "end spot" I'll park by a motorcycle or between two spaces (like the guy in the video). It's not about protecting it from scratches. It's about protecting it from obese/ignorant people. If the maker of this video parked beside that car and opened his door into it, I highly doubt he would stick around or leave a note. Who are you? George Costanza?

Back when I use to have a car I didn't baby, if someone creeped over the left line with their car, I would fold in my passenger mirror and park normally....but be so close on top of the other car they had to get in through their passenger side door. Always was a good laugh, and lesson.
