@siddha83, well all that is arguable. You may have some roots in Vedas in the light that you accept Krishna/Vishnu. THAT'S IT!! Your real roots are in the 400-500 year old Chaitanya sub sampradaya of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. It is not "debut" but debate dear. I've debated many Prabhupad disciples in the past. Limited mindset. You guys don't read Vedas and don't accept everything in there. Know your limitations dear and stop judging others. Hare Krishna is as cult as the Rama Krsna!

oh no fight dear. I'm just debating. Shastrarth. Yes Mantra IS important. Bhakti is no separate. If mantra wasn't important, Chaitanya Nimai wouldn't hail importance of hare Krishna mantra to his followers either. Every sampradaya is following a mantra. Just do it more correctly.

@Chhenu Thank I wish you well too. I did not mean to pick a fight with you all I wanted was a bit of argumentation. After all debate was a part of ancient vedic traditions ... dont you agree? even the Upanishads say "Neti Neti Neti iti " : ) Yes true if you want to follow Mantra yoga its is of extreme importance that you enunciate things right but not for Bhakti Yoga.

@Chhenu you are totally hijacking my point and using it to push your agenda -- i.e. how bad HKs are and how good conservative militant right group hindu fundamentalists are. My point is Vedas are NOT at all essential to reach God/ attain God realization and used Ramakrishna's example (I don't care what HK does ie whether or not they believe in him) to drive that point.

@sg04f, hundreds of examples where HKs don't accept fully Krishna or follow. One example is Shiva worship! One example is Lord Krishna's opinion about Lord Shiva that radically differs from those of the HKs. anyways.. cults and sects are narrow minded and have their limitations. Good HK are into Bhakti and are trying.

@Chhenu Be a bit gentle on the HK guys, because I do not belong to that group. I eat beef and believe in God in my own way. So dont start blasting the poor HK followers as they are not part of this fray. True Mantra yoga is imp but its NOT the only path. There is life beyond MYoga and thats my point
