  • Why do you use sand in the tank as opposed to rocks ? any reason ? I have a tank almost the same with Oscars, Clown Knife and Mangunse.

  • @ghostofwar1892 i think sand is easier to keep clean and dirt dosent get caught in it like gravel... also i think its more natural for the fish and easier on the eye :)

  • how bigs ur tank?

  • that tank in the video is 150Gallons

  • Very beautiful fish and Aquarium. I was wondering why you do not plant your tank? I am interested in setting up a monster tank in the distant future and I was wondering why plants are generaly excluded in monster tanks. I have seen some Arowana aquariums that were planted.

  • damn nice ^^

  • nice!

  • sounds like a plan... i use a mixture of fluval & eheim ceramic in all 3 baskets and a media bag of carbon, and another of zeolite... the foam pads that come pre installed in the FX5 do a fine job of keeping particles out of the water as is and whever ive used and filter pads or floss it just creates problems... without its perfect ;)

  • I'm going to use Eheim media (mech & pro) & filter wool on the top.

I don't like fluvals media much. It's going to be stocked with Goldfish who are very messy fish.

I'm not too worried about it getting clogged, it'll be getting serviced every 4 weeks.

  • thank you :0

The FX5 will do well on that tank, just dont use the polishing pads inside or it clogs too easily and starts sucking air... just fill with ceramic, and filter bags of carbon & zeolite
