The Save Our Streams promo video is a short reminder about the importance of your participation in protecting our water quality. The clean stream in the video is the beautiful Pickle Springs Natural Area in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri. It is a free flowing, clean, Ozark stream. The polluted stream in the video is Deer Creek, a suburban St. Louis stream that is a major tributary in the River Des Peres watershed that drains most of the St. Louis metropolitan region.
Jim Karpowicz of the Documentary Group from Columbia, Missouri and Tom Newcomb, of Technisonic filmed the video in high definition so that it would be compatible with large screen presentation and new high-def television. Randy Skylock with Technisonic edited the video. Mike Radentz did the amazing soundtrack. Clyde Ruffins provided the voice talent. We hope that you are inspired to join us in improving and protecting our Missouri creeks. Please learn more about the ways you can get involved at http://sos.moenviron.org/.
