  • Great friggin' song!

  • I saw this show too. Dinah Shore was a guest. She commented on how beautiful "Love is the answer" was. Cool compliment from a lady from an older generation...

  • I think I remember seeing this on TV. Love the Nehru jackets - reminiscent of the Beatles last 1966 tour. Adventures in Utopia, I believe was the album that was released right after "Deface The Music." Anyone know what kind of device is on Todd's microphone. I'm guessing some sort of pre-mixed echo send unit. The 3 part vocals are phenomenal live on this song!

  • Utopia was a FIERCE live band in the late 70s/early 80s...I would hate to be in a band that played after them on a bill!

  • Brings back soooooo many great memories Thanx for the post

  • @Galantski Thanks for setting me straight--I have AWATS on vinyl, AiU on cassette; I just turned 59 and my memory's starting to get a little hazy, lol. And I do see your point about "The Very Last Time," it might have actually been written around that time; could easily "fit" on any Todd album, except for maybe "Deface the Music." : )

  • @Iamheofwhomhespeaks - I must correct you about this. It's from "Adventures in Utopia' (1980). Also, "A Wizard, A True Star" (1973) was not a Utopia project, but Rundgren solo effort years before he formed the group. "AWATS" is similar to "Something/Anything?", but more psychedelic. Back to my comment on this song; although recorded in '80, it's different from most Utopia prog rock, being very retro and sounding like Todd's mid-60's group Nazz. If you like this, you'll like "Not wrong long".

  • @Galantski This song is from "A Wizard, A True Star" Utopia album, from the early '70's. EXCELLENT concept album, in the same league as "Something?-Anything."

  • Sounds like it came off of a Nazz album, no? (Think "Not wrong long".)

  • Great song, wicked cool guitar.

    Thanks for posting.

  • HOW MUCH FUCKIN =ABUSE CAN I TAKEEEEE

  • Hah ha look at willie in the glasses, and those outfits with the boots. Wonderful:-)
