An extremely rare pink diamond is on display in Hong Kong, and could fetch up to $38 million when it is sold at an auction in Switzerland next month.

The almost 25-carat "fancy intense pink" diamond is being sold by an anonymous private collector.

The gem, which is technically "eye clean," has a minor flaw that is probably due to wear.

The ring is expected to be graded internally flawless after re-polishing.

The diamond was last sold by famous New York jeweler Harry Winston and is described as a classic emerald cut with gently rounded corners.

  • lets forget about the millions of people dying or starvation, drought, disease and even exploitation the world over. its probably a very good idea for some person to invest 38000 000 on a stone.

dont get me wrong, the stone is beautiful, i just think the world is a little backwards.

  • I found it! I found my ring!

  • noway thts lyk wow LMFAO. The pinkonne.aha sik

  • @ytrogergt I can agree with that. Just wish they'd help more....

  • @Pamelina1111 ..... You don't understand! Perhaps the rich end up with the physical result of their spendings, but that physical result is manufactured/produced bt workers who are paid with the rich man's money. So Long Live Luxury, I say.

  • @ytrogergt that would be a good analogy, but rich people are greedy & spend their money on themselves!

  • @ytrogergt this is why people like you will never have money. before you start ranting on about how i have judged you; from what you have just explained, it is enough information to make judgments.

in short hand: its the guys at the bottom end of the chain that fuel the economy, not a rich guys one off investment.

  • @u9p87 You haven't a clue, have you. The money spent on this diamond will go to the seller. The seller will invest it in funds, buy homes, yachts, cars, more diamonds, gold, luxury goods... so keeping other folks in employment, and the money will trickle down to the low levels of society. The diamond itself is just a transfer of figures on a bank screen.

  • @DOMMYO hey buddy, go fuck yourself, this is youtube. if you haven't realised, youtube give many people a voice.

just because those opinions don't coincide with yours, it doesn't mean that people have to shut up.

so why don't you make your mother proud and go suck farts from your own ass.

  • @u9p87 hey buddy, take your fucking bullshit somehwere where people give a fuck!
