  • First off, nice bike.

If you're knowledgeable with Hutch, I have a quick question. I've had this set of forks for years and wasn't sure which frame set they came from. They have thick drop outs and a sticker that has 'Free style' on the steering tube. I've read that they could be early Trick Star before welded foot pegs or maybe Judge, but I'm not sure. If you know, please tell me.

  • asobermindisawasted1, sounds like it could be the trick star you mentioned ;)

  • jamielexus, you are correct. my mistake a pro racer. the pro star was the freestyle frame...correct?

  • one piece crank lol

  • old-school bmx ;)

  • I got profile 1983 check my uploads

  • Beautiful!

  • I owned a 1983 Hutch Pro Racer in chrome which I purchased new that year in Oregon when I was 20. It cost $450 in 1983 which was a lot of money back then. Everybody I knew loved and coveted that bike. One of my so called friends stole it! He sold it and was bragging and I found out. Me and a few of my friends "persuaded" him to cough up $500! I bought a 1984 Pro Racer in black. I had it for two years and sold it for $600. Man, I sure do wish I still had it. I'd ride it every day and never sel

  • I have an 85 pro racer. someone make an offer.

  • i have a second gen, great condition!

  • @despisedbiker Take a look at the You Tube Video (Hutch the last pedal case document) You'll see that the interior of the pedal is different as well as the cage. The cage of bear trap has smaller diameter circular holes. The interior structure is more of an X. Sorry but this video is Shimano, the ones I have on my bike in my basement, ones I've owned since 1984. I wish mine were bear traps, but look at the video I mentioned and watch it twice, you'll see.

  • @Delticola no bro. those r bear traps. they are FUCKING KNEE KILLERS lol

  • Nope, the Prostar was the top of the line Hutch fitted with all Hutch components. I raced a Prostar my (next to) last year racing in ABA as a 16X, then switched over to a (pink) Mike Miranda Hollywood series with all Hutch parts for my last year. The Hollywood was/is the hottest bike ever made, period!

  • Those aren't bear trap pedals, those are shimano. I have the same pedals in my hutch pro-racer in my basement. But Hutch is recently back in business and recently selling bear trap pedals!

  • Yea, I think they are Trick Star. Now, I just need to decide what I'm going to do with them.
