  • This is, and I mean no disrespect to any of the other legendary composers out there, but this is IMO, the most sensation, most mind-numbing, MOVING piece of music ever put to a science fiction film, EVER. I doubt it will ever, EVER be matched much less beaten.

  • The thing that always scared me the most about Alien was how creatures like that are not far from reality at all. There are symbiotic creatures on Earth alone that can remain dormant for centuries until a 'host' falls within range, where it can become active and embed in a host. Much like the Facehugger did in this movie. And there are a lot of other features and factors that can be stunningly close to reality. • when i hear this,,this sound very similar with poltergeist..hehe,,anyway the same composer isn it?JERRY GOLDSMITH..

  • @DJSpecialSauce As admired and influential as Goldsmith's 'Alien' score is, and how emotionally potent, Goldsmith's 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture' still has to be the single best science fiction music score, even if it is more cerebral/abstract. But 'Alien' is close behind, along with memorable scores by Goldsmith, Herrmann, Tiomkin, etc.

  • @Flyboy243 lol

  • absolute masterpiece of music. probably one of the most atmospheric and frightening soundtracks iv ever heard. brings me back to when I was 9 watching it for the first time on my own in a massive empty building complex :O and thus a lifelong obsession was born!

  • Scaring and fascinating !

  • @DJSpecialSauce EVER?

  • 4 people were unhappy with the bonus situation...

  • @godofmajora What animals are you referring to that can remain dormant for centuries? The only earthly organisms I can think of that would match that description would be the very basic forms like mold spores, certain bacteria, and perhaps certain kinds of viruses.

  • @DJSpecialSauce i think david fincher ,might beg to differ .
