Filmed at Whitefish Point Bird Observatory. The "barking" sound at 1:05 is an alarm call given by a Saw-whet Owl nearby.

  • he's dacing

  • Boreal owl is larger then the saw whet owl

  • I looked this up because last night i heard "hooo, hoooo" and my dad was like what the heck? So we looked out the window and saw two owls fly away we dont know what kind though

  • Boreal and Northern Saw-whet Owls are distinct species. Although their ranges overlap in some regions, the Boreal Owl ranges farther north. The Boreal Owl is also circumpolar, while the Northern Saw-whet is found in North America only. The Unspotted Saw-whet Owl is found in Central America.

  • is a boreal owl the same as a saw whet owl?

  • LOL... so cute! BIG EYES!!!

  • 1:10-1:20 : Something I would definitely NOT want to see if I looked up while walking home alone at night. They're cute when they're looking somewhere else, though.
