@tntwafflz64 The only thing he mentioned that would take out any of those bunkers or caves was the bunker buster but Iwo jima was bombarded for three days. Each heavy ship was given an area to fire on which combined with all the ships covered the entire island. A ship would fire for approximately six hours before stopping for a certain amount of time. But Japanese bunkers could take up to several direct hits from 16inch naval guns.

@rgd32162 American Imperialism and previous inequality shown towards Japanese, along with almost completely ignoring Japan for it's actions in WW1, along with the U.S's failure to recognize Japan as a strong modern state.. portrayed Americans as a threat in the Pacific, and made Japanese a little more willing to join the Axis party, rather than the allies this time around..

@thewarrider7 i see wat your getting at now.bless you to

@snoopy72296 yes i understand, that and i am very grateful of their sacrifice, hence the SAS logo i have as my dp picture. what i am trying to say which you are clearly getting the wrong side of the stick is that, the people who are dying are people with families, goals, dreams and to see that go in an instant just seems like a waste of god given life. however every servicemen british or american gets my total praise, god bless you.

@jeffhanson1 well in ww2 there were none of those

@thewarrider7 every man would agree: they join willing to die, it doesnt mean theyre going to. they know wat they were doing wen they signed up. you say dying for this country is a waste of life? if you were really grateful for the men and women overseas and risking their life for you and this country, you wouldntsay that it was a waste of life. they died for you and this country. everybody becomes sad wen they here about soldiers KIA. no country was formed without sacrifice.

@snoopy72296 what i am saying you fucking idiot is that men aka american men have dreams and goals and to just see them die is a waste of life. i am grateful for them fighting but i become sad when i see them die because it is a waste of life. so dont get all butthurt.

@jeffhanson1 No, actually now our soldiers would be told not to kill anyone because the rest of the world would get mad at us for killing people.
We're still apologizing to Japan for dropping the bomb and killing thier citizens. They started the war and got what they asked for, total devistation. My Dad's 19 year old brother died on Iwo Jima while Dad was in an army hospital nearly dead from the his injury in the Bulge, he was 22
