This is Cloreta Yan explaining all the things she sells in her store that is located in the front of her batey. She used her Kiva loan to increase the number of items she sells in her small sugar cane community. She sells, cookies, matches, candles, drink mix, bleach, shampoo, suckers, ice, pepper, soup seasoning, pasta, spaghetti, laundry soap, chicken flavor seasoning, coffee, cooking oil, habichuelas (beans), garlic, onion, rice, flour, tobacco, coconut cookies, conditioner, vinegar, soap, and tomato paste. At the very end of our interview I asked her what her dreams for the future were and she said, "To progress, and to keep expanding her business." Cloreta began her business selling coffee, sugar, and oil. Currently she is the best stocked store I have seen in such a rural place. She has finished paying her Kiva loan and is now on her second loan with Esperanza.
Very good.. Best wishes
