Nicks POV
Kaylor waked back in and sat next to me on the couch. I laid my head in her lap and she played with my curls.
K: ready to talk about it?
I took a deep breath before nodding.
-I had the dream last night.
K: and?
-it still scares me. I dont know what to do to make it stop
Silent tears started cascading down my cheeks. Kaylor rubbed my back trying to sooth me.
K: why do you think its your fault?
-because he was talking to ME instead of paying attention.
The tears started coming faster.
K: what if he was talking to your mom instead of you, then would you feel guilty?
-I dont know.
K: did you TRY to tell him to look at the road
The tears were coming too fast for me to talk so I just nodded.
K: and did your mom try to tell him?
I nodded again.
K: then how is it your fault? Tell me again.
I took another deep breath and tried to calm down. I thought about it all. I know it wasnt my fault but it kinda still feels like it. I finally came to a conclusion
-it wasnt my fault he wrecked, but it WAS my fault he was driving.
K: nick, accidents happen. Thats life. He didnt HAVE to drive you that night, he wanted to. He didnt want to get in that wreck, but the other driver is at fault for drunk driving. Its not your fault, okay?
My answer came more as a whisper.
-ok
I sat up a little bit, and she kissed me gently on the lips.
K: I love you
-I love you too, Lor (remember, he calls Kaylor Lor, for future reference)
