I quit watching the show in the last couple years it was on due to the fact the writing went way downhill. Have to admit I miss it now that its gone, would rather watch GL any day instead of Oprah or Dr. Phil. Reva's clone locking her in a lighthouse basement is more fun than Dr Phil talking about the same issues for years on end. lol

I watched from May of 1981 till the very end. I saw Bill, Michelle,Marina, Lizzie,James, Michelle, Shayne and Marah all get born. I still miss watching Guiding Light. It was like having friends over every afternoon. I laughed at the zany antic's of Nola, and cried when Maureen died. Some of the stories were silly, but the rest were wonderful. I really hated them killing off Alan Spaulding. But loved Phillip and Beth remarrying, and Rick and Mindy too. And Michelle and Tony back home.

I set the whole week to record. It'd be nice to see how it ends. I missed yesterday and today, however. I have the feeling that these next three episodes will turn me into a fan... and it will be too late.

I watched this show for about three weeks in 2006. It is such a shame that I never had a real chance to watch this show. The promo looks so sad. Its always sad when a soap ends, though. Search For Tomorrow, Loving, Passions, and now Guiding Light. THE Guiding Light. Isn't it the LONGEST runnin' soap? .
