Me playing the End of Heartache on my guitar.

I've only been playing since December 2007 so I'm not Mr. Professional but I think I did okay.

I am playing an Ibanez Gio RG hooked up to a Hughes and Kettner Matrix 100 head on a Hughes and Kettner Vortex 412 cabinet.

There are a few little stuff ups, like when the clean part (which is also a bit incorrect) comes on I mess up briefly. I don't switch over to clean there because I didn't have the footswitch set up, but it sounds fineish anyway.

  • Hey mate im thinking about buying a hughes and kettner vortex half stack do u have any experience with the head and if so does it sound any good (especially for distortions). The cab sounds sweet anyway. Nice playing.

  • Don't bother man, save your money for something better, and make sure you consider second hand. Second hand doesn't mean its shit, it just mean someone else has used it before you and will sell it for less than RRP!

  • yeh thats what im looking at a hughes and kettner half stack for under $500. I heard the cabs are good so i could always just upgrade the head like you have done later.

  • The cab really isn't very good hahahha. Its good for the price, but there are much better cabs out there to say the least. But yeah for $500 that sounds good.

  • cheers for your help mate

  • No worries.

  • @DIMEBAGFERRELL333

Same here with an Attax 100 Head from 1993. Vintage sound but with fullbore it rocks!

  • Nice cover man, I haven't seen any Ibanez guitars like that before, with the scratch plate and the tobacco burst finish and the unpainted headstock, that's actually pretty cool.

  • sick cover!!! check out mine

  • killer tone u got there

  • This is very impressive for having only played for 6 months... i only just recently learned this song but thats because i didnt like killswitch until about june lol, but u r much better than i was at 6 months, u just need to work on playing clean, and dont drag ur fingers on the strings when ur changing chords and turn ur knobs down a bit, but other than that great job! keep it up. btw if u like playing things like KSE SS and BMTH try learning some songs from architects(UK)
