Bang Tao Beach Phuket Thailand

Bang Tao Beach is on the west coast of Phuket and was another area that was badly hit during the Tsunami. This video was shot before then and gives you a chance to see the old Bang Tao. This video also takes you on a brief tour of the temple in Bang Tao as well as the local village of Cherng Talay.

yep, bang tao is superb. i prefer the left side out of the way from tourists though ;)

Obviously you weren't there at the time. The Tsunami devastated everything within 600 meters of the beach front. Fortunately, not being a densely built up area at the time, the number of buildings demolished or damaged was limited. However, many local Thais did lose their lives - mainly in the fishing community. Sadly, Should the event ever happen again, the consequences will be even worse, as no lessons were learnt.... The construction work continues unabated.

bangtao beach was not affected badly by the tsunami there were no fatalites or injurys!!!
