She goes crazy when I talk in a high pitch baby voice, so sorry If I get annoying, but she loves it. Turn down your volume :)
Just showing the process how I'm training my border collie to fetch.
Meet Blake everyone. Blake is a Border collie. She comes from a line of pure bred champions.
I brought Blake home about 3 weeks ago and she's a great dog/puppy. She already started puppy class and is doing extremely well.
The first week she was home was kind of rough. Blake was the shy one out of the litter and was the last one left. I found a litter online from a breeder and went to go see these puppies. They just turned 8 weeks old and they were ready to go home. And then I saw Blake. She was 4 months old at the time and we instantly bonded. She hasn't left my side since.
We train every day. She does awesome walking on a leash. If I stop walking, she'll look at me and sit down right at my feet and wait until I start walking again. She sit/stays great too! I can put her in a stay and walk away...I've gone up to about a 100ft and she stayed until I called her. She's a very smart dog.
We've been working on fetch. If were outside she'll chase after the ball like a bat outa hell, but then she just lays there and chews it and doesn't come back. So we have been working in my room with no distractions to get her to bring the ball back every time. And she did. Minus one time because it went under the couch, but I'll take the blame for that :)
Blake is 5 months old in this video.
If you're still reading this, I appreciate you taking the time to read about me and Blake. I'll be making more videos showing Blake's progress and as she learns more things.
