Henrietta [Rock Band 2] 100% Expert Vocals

100% Gold Star Expert Vocals performance on Henrietta by The Fratellis, as it appears in Rock Band 2 for PlayStation 3.

As is customary with my videos, the original vocal track by John Lawler is minimized so you can hear what I'm singing.

Henrietta is probably the most difficult song amongst the 3 songs in the Fratellis pack to get 100% on (Flathead gives it a run for its money because of the seemingly endless phrase streaks, but this song has a much more difficult, non-repeating melody).

This song is actually easier to sightread than it is to actually sing from memory. It is probably one of the most challenging songs for vocals to have been released recently in Rock Band (alongside Doin' That Rag by The Grateful Dead). The range is quite large, which makes reading the pitchlines a pain, and the bridge is... well.. strange, to say the least.

Watch out for the verses - they're all ever so subtly different from each other even though they "look" the same. Do NOT assume that the same lyric earlier/later in the song is sung the same way - there are only a couple phrases in this entire song that are identical.

Open advice:

If you're not performing this song for an audience, do NOT attempt to sing the lyrics like I am doing here. You will break combo constantly unless your pitch control is spot on and you know the song like the back of your hand.

The scoring isn't really that tight on most of the phrases, but the window to hit each of these itty bitty words is so small that if you're off cadence by even a small amount while pronouncing all these consonants, you're going to fail to fill the pie and will be staring at a x1 multiplier faster than you can blink.
