Question: Do you have storage space in the States where you keep all your knick-knacks, legal documents, keepsakes, etc while you travel? Do you really only own 51 things?

  • @TechboyUK: Yeah, that tends to complicate things, but I find a lot of that kind of kit can be rented when you need it. If you're a pro, though, you'd definitely need to include that kind of thing in your list.

    @karolgajda: Yeah, most of my business/tax stuff is digitized. Anything that I need a hard copy of (basically my birth certificate and business license) is in an envelope at my parents place. I guess that technically counts as something I own, but since they're sheets of paper....

  • It wouldn't work for me. I have too much personalised kit for the hobbies I do (Triathons, Adventure Racing, rock climbing, snowboarding, driving, computing, home cinema, etc.).

  • Shred party: sounds like a great idea. How about as far as keeping documents for business/taxes? Did you digitize all of those documents?
