I respectfully disagree. I think the White Album is by far the Beatles' greatest achievement - after the immaculately produced Sgt. Pepper's, to produce something as willfully shambolic as this album, was incredibly daring and fascinating. No, "Wild Honey Pie" was not a Great Work, and the Beatles were well aware of it. That's the point. The album is willfully messy and stitched with minor, rough-hewn moments... which in my opinion has made it endlessly playable.

I completely disagree, I'm a huge fan and the White album was a crowning achievement. My favorite album. It shows their diversity and personal musical interests.
