David truly sang this perfectly and fantastic!!
-
Its still odd, but his voice so good and it sounds really cool, so I'll forgive him and even like it a lot! :)
-
Erik,if you love me, please dont kill him!

everyone needs to stop comparing this version to the theatrical, broadway like, version because they are supposed to change the music and that is exactly what he did!!! he made it his own and yes i liked the original version but i like this version better because it is in more of a style that i enjoy!!!

Jesus... it surprises me to find out how many people are deaf. @justsing91: "he made [the song] better"? You've GOT to be kidding me. Really, this kid completely mutilated the song. At some point I thought I was listening to one of those cheap Christmas cds you buy at a random store when the season's in & the classic tunes are covered by some teeny-popper star. Post Scriptum, he's really gotta learn how to breathe AWAY from the microphone. Even a decrepit singer, like me, knows this well enough.

David Archuleta's version of the song is different from the way it was composed. It was originally intended for theatrical performance and Archie's rendition was pop ballad. Archuleta's singing is heartfelt, penetrating the soul of those who listen. His angelic voice and charm captivate his audience with enchanting awe beyond words can express. People who can not surpass his level singing, should not make condescending remarks otherwise they just reveal their envy and overpowering insecurity.
