Seattle's Pike Place Market is the original home of Starbucks and the inspiration behind our smooth, everyday coffee. This is what it's like to be there as the Market wakes up.

  • I work at Starbucks, there at 4:15 to open at 5:00, and what that one guy says, "If you don't take pride in your work and enjoy it, you shouldn't be doing it," is so true. Some of my friends can't believe how early we open, but I love it. I love my morning regulars who come in at 5:15am, and all they need to do is nod and smile and me and my barista have gotten their drink started. This video makes me so excited to even go back to work tomorrow. I hope one day I can visit the Pike Place store.

  • Watching this makes me want to take a trip to Seattle. . . and drink some coffee :D

  • Can you stop with the annoying guitar music in your commercials?

  • @jayolean Good for u!!! I hate when I see the comments that say I work at Satrbucks and I hate it, it's a terrible job, they treat you like crap, blah blah blah. Not saying, it's the easiest job and that dealing with annoying customers is easy either, but honestly, it's making coffee, you get to listen to music, and you have windows to see outside, and you get to sit at a table for break. I work in the kitchen of a restaurant with no windows, no music, you take your break on a milk carton lol.

  • @jayolean What's awesome is that you love your work.. we need more people like that. You've probably met them before.. "work sucks.." "hate my job.." etc etc. I guess that's why you have the top comment!

  • i love watching people working on the very early morning.

  • EARLY MORNING DICK IN THE FUCKING ASSHOLE!!

  • I went to Seattle in September of 2010 for PAX Prime. I really think it is one of the most fantastic cities I have ever been to. The culture there is so rich. The city in itself is gorgeous. I would seriously consider moving to Seattle one day.

  • You guys should incorporate those types of espresso machines in more stores, old school sometimes is the way to be.

  • @jayolean I'm a Partner as well and I totally agree. :)

  • I visited Seattle in 2009 for the Penny Arcade Expo and stopped by the market to go to the first Starbucks store. Thanks for posting the video.
