Does anyone know whether I need a operating system disc or can I use Time Machine when I have installed my new hard drive?

The hard drive requires a size 6 screwdriver NOT an 8.

i just bought a seagate momentus 7200.4 500GB. will thiss one work in my macbook pro unibody? i think so, but i have yet to try. . . LOL
