I don't know enough about Georgian-US relations to comment on your Ossetia statement, but as for Honduras, the US government thinks Zelaya still is the legitimate president of the country. I don't know why you think otherwise.

In terms of international diplomacy this was obviously a "faux pas". Mr. Obama in my opinion has made a mistake talking about Putin's foot stuck in the past just before going to Russia. This would undoubtedly be considered as an insult by Russian officials.
Moreover this is not true. Not only Putin has both of his feet firmly stuch in the past but so has Medvedev.

It is the US that is stuck in the cold war hangover, not Russia.
It was not Putin that attacked Ossidia during the opening ceremonies of the Olympic games, it was the US trained president and Mossad trained war mongering individuals in osedia that attacked
The US is involved in Honduras coup, Obama still has not called it a coup, and Hillery uses double speak about legalities, the very same language used by the perpetrators of the coup
