Also, "dying of a broken heart" or whatever, is a rather flimsy explanation at best. Needs more research before jumping to any conclusion that may seem comforting.

The second time, about six months apart, was much lighter. Still, my heart stopped briefly. I am 100% sure those that couldn't make it has the same or similar symptom as I did, but they were weaker physically and did not make it. One time, not sure, but twice, I am sure they were the sudden death symptom. I cheated death twice.

I forgot what it really was after these many years, but I felt so suddenly sad that my heart stop pumping (Hmoob hais tias "poob siab nthav"). This sudden frighten stopped my heart. I felt I was lucky that I was much healthier and my heart was able to restart. As for those that died, their heart simply can't re-ignited and just died.

Sudden death has nothing to do with ghost or anything else. I experienced this symptom twice in 1981. The first one was real hard. It was so hard that woke me up from my sleep, I placed my hand on my heart, it stop pumping for at least 3 seconds. Then, a hard pump (I can felt my skin popping out), then, then a second after, the next pump, then faster and faster until I can breath again. well i believe shamanism is real, because, 2 years ago i went to my hmong friends house, and they had a room where they trapped a ghost or something, cuz they had these like table things on the walls with the incense and cups of water. and the ghost or watever was trapped in the door and their shaman put a blanket over the ghost so it wont run or something, after, i went in that room without knowing, it was really cold, and i saw the lump of the head under the blanket and its feet under too.
